GRAND CANYON
The GCU men's team was back in action this week as they traveled to Boise, Idaho for a pair of matches. On day one, the Lopes competed against Montana but ultimately fell by a score of 1-6. On Sunday, they battled with host Boise State, losing 0-7. Against Montana, the Lopes got off to a strong start as Valentin Lang and Jiri Novak controlled their match against Ed Pudney and Sam Nicholson, winning 6-3 at the No. 1 spot. In singles, Novak was the lone victor as he took down Montana's Chase Bartlett in straight sets (6-4, 6-3).

Versus Boise State, Lang came out fast, winning the first set 6-4 but fell 2-6, 1-6 in the next two sets to drop the match at No. 1. Justin Cvitanovic, Wolmar Boris-Moller and Jonathan Da Silva also proved tough as they each played to a tiebreaker before dropping their matches.
