TicketSmarter WAC Women's Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week Announced

DENVER – Northern Colorado's Madelyn Moore and Northern Arizona's Maegan Jensen has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week for Nov. 17 through 21.

Moore, a senior from Sandys, Bermuda, racked up four wins and broke two school records at the Trailblazer Invite, Thursday to Saturday. Her first win came in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.20 breaking her previous UNC record of 22.50, her time puts her 18th in the nation according to SwimCloud. Her second win came in the 100 freestyle where she broke another of her school record with a time of 49.17. She also led off the Bears' quartets that won the 400 freestyle relay (3:41.87) and 800 freestyle relay (7:33.99).

Jensen, a sophomore from San Diego, Calif., finished first in the 3-meter with a NCAA zone qualifying score of 296.85 at the Lumberjack Diving Invite, Friday through Saturday. She also finished fifth in the 1-meter with another NCAA zone qualifying score of 286.10 and seventh in the platform (202.65).

Other swimmer nominee: California Baptist's Patricia Van Law had a stellar week where she renewed CBU's 400 IM record (4:17.71) in the prelims, she finished third in the 200 backstroke (1:59.18) becoming the second Lancer to swim under two minutes in the event at the Mizzou Invite, Wednesday through Friday … Dixie State's Akalia Bostock broke DSU's 400 IM record this past week with a time of 4:25.10 finishing third overall at the Trailblazer Invite, Thursday to Saturday … NM State's Lindsay Puhalski picked up a win in the 400 IM (4:21.12) and two fifth place finishes in the 200 IM (2:03.19) and 200 backstroke (2:01.97) at the Trailblazer Invite, Thursday through Saturday … Northern Arizona's Casey Craffey picked up a win in the 1650 freestyle with an altitude adjusted time of 16:35.44 that puts her 34th in the nation according to SwimCloud at the A3 Performance Invite, Thursday through Saturday.

Other diver nominee: California Baptist's Paula De Moya finished 12th in the 1-meter (227.90) and fourth in the platform (245.35) … Grand Canyon's Abigail Erickson dominantly won the platform (257.60) at the Lumberjack Diving Invite, Saturday … Northern Colorado's Madison Berg finished fifth in the 3-meter (206.65) with a career high prelim score of 226.60.
