DENVER – NM State's Maude Boily-Dufour and Northern Arizona's Victoria Knapp has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week for Dec. 1 through 5.
Boily-Dufour, a senior from Ontario, Canada, won all her events playing a major role to the Aggies' second-place overall finish at the CBU Lancers Winter Invitational, Friday through Saturday. She won and marked season best times in 50 backstroke (25.85) and the 200 backstoke where she broke the pool record with a time of 1:57.92. She won the individual 100 backstroke (55.28) but then sharpened her time as she led off the winning 400 medley relay with time of 54.46, fastest in the WAC this season.
Knapp, a sophomore from Mesa, Ariz., won two out of all three events competed, contributing to NAU's first -place finish at the CBU Lancer Winter Invitational, Friday through Saturday. She won the 1-meter (282.05) and the 3-meter (303.70) marking NCAA Zone qualifying scores on both.
Other swimmer nominee: Northern Arizona's Casey Craffey played an integral role in NAU's win at the CBU Winter Invitational winning the 500 freestyle (4:54.30) and the 1650 freestyle (15:55.05).
Other diver nominee: California Baptist's Paula De Moya won the platform with a score of 250.35, marking a new program record for the event at the CBU Lancers Winter Invitational.
