TicketSmarter WAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Announced

DENVER – Seattle U's Georgia Kehoe has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 25 through Jan. 31.

Kehoe, a redshirt sophomore from Brisbane, Australia, helped lead the Redhawks to an undefeated weekend and a sweep of Chicago State. Kehoe did it all for SU, averaging 14.0 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, 2.0 assists per game, 2.0 steals per game and 2.5 blocks per game. On Friday, she helped rally the Redhawks back from a nine-point halftime deficit behind, posting a 14-point second half to finish with 18 points, five boards and three blocks. On the season, Kehoe is averaging 11.2 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game and ranks fourth in the WAC with 1.6 blocks per game.

Other nominee included: Chicago State's Ifunanya Okoye snagged 16 boards on Saturday against Seattle U as she averaged 13.5 rebounds per game during the Cougars' two-game homestand… Grand Canyon's Tiarra Brown notched her second career double-double as she finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lopes against Idaho State… Tarleton's Emily Cunningham posted a season-high 20 points as she shot 70 percent from the field and knocked down three triples to help the Texans earn a win over UT Rio Grande Valley… UT Rio Grande Valley's Amara Graham led the Vaqueros in scoring for the sixth time this season, finishing with 14 points to go along with seven rebounds and three steals against Tarleton.
