DENVER – The bracket for the 2021 WAC Women's Basketball Tournament is set and for the first time in school history, California Baptist will be the top seed at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

The Lancers captured the regular season title and a first-round bye after going 14-0 in league play and becoming just the sixth program in WAC history to finish with a perfect conference record. California Baptist is led by seniors Ane Olaeta and Britney Thomas, who enter the tournament averaging 12.3 and 14.1 points per game, respectively.

Utah Valley will be the second seed after finishing with a 10-4 record in league play. The Wolverines will head to Vegas riding a five-game win streak and are led by junior Josie Williams who averages 14.2 points.

Grand Canyon claims the third seed after going 8-4 in WAC play while posting a perfect 6-0 conference record inside GCU Arena. Katie Scott leads the Lopes into the tournament, averaging 16.5 points per game.

The fourth seed will be NM State. Heading to Las Vegas with a conference record of 6-6, the Aggies are led by junior Aaliyah Prince, who finished the regular season with a scoring average of 12.3 points per game.

The Aggies' first-round opponent will be fifth-seeded Seattle U. The Redhawks enter the tournament at 6-8 and are led by redshirt junior McKenzi Williams, averaging a team-best 15.3 points per game. NM State and Seattle U will tip off at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10.

UT Rio Grande Valley earns the sixth-seed after going 2-8 in WAC play. The Vaqueros are led in scoring by senior Amara Graham with 16.5 points per game. UTRGV will see Grand Canyon in the first round of the tournament, with their game set to tip at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Chicago State will be the seventh seed and will take on Utah Valley in the opening round on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. The Cougars are led by 14.9 points per game from Nadia Thorman-McKey.

The tournament begins on Wednesday, March 10 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. All games will be on ESPN+ and will be available for international viewers on the WAC Digital Network.
