TicketSmarter WAC Men’s Golfer of the Week Announced
DENVER – NM State's Joseph Robson has been named TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for April 21 through April 27.
Robson, a freshman from Newcastle, England, was the top WAC finisher at the PING Cougar Classic, shooting a 3-under-par 213 to finish 25th amongst 104 golfers. He fired a 3-under-par 69 in both the first and last round to earn the season-best finish. The freshman leads the Aggies in stroke average at 74.00 per round and will be playing in NM State's top spot at this weekend's WAC Championship at Boulder Creek GC in Boulder City, Nev.
Other men's nominees: Dixie State's Davis Heslington led the Trailblazers at the PING Cougar Classic, shooting a 6-over-par 222 … Utah Valley's Brady McKinlay tied for 51st at the PING Cougar Classic, shooting a 2-over-par 218 on the week.
