WAC Issues Request for Proposals for Commissioner Search
DENVER – The Western Athletic Conference today issued a request for proposals (RFP) to aid in the identification of candidates in its national search for conference commissioner.
It is the intent of the Board of Directors to conduct a national search to establish a pool of highly qualified candidates. It is anticipated that an offer will be accepted by the preferred candidate by November 1, 2021 with an official start date of January 1, 2022.
Current WAC Commissioner Jeff Hurd announced earlier this month that he will step down after 37 years with the conference, effective December 31, 2021.
Proposals are due to Denise Bullard by 3 p.m. MT on August 10, 2021. A copy of the RFP can be found here.
