DENVER – Northern Arizona's Maddy Rey and Victoria Knapp has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week for Jan. 5 through 9.

Rey, a sophomore from Columba, Ill., led NAU on their travel meet at Arizona, Friday through Saturday. She won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:54.04 and the 400 individual medley in 4 minutes 31.83 seconds, 15th fastest time in the WAC this season. She also finished second in the 500 freestyle (5:07.31).

Knapp, a sophomore from Mesa, Ariz., placed two NCAA Zone qualifying scores in NAU's two-day dual meet at Arizona, Friday through Saturday. She finished fourth overall in the 1-meter with a score of 285.68 and second in the 3-meter with a score of 294.38.

Other swimmer nominee: California Baptist's Giulia Decataldo picked up a win in the 1000 freestyle (10:50.32) and tied for second in the 500 freestyle (5:11.55) at the Lancers' win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripts, Friday.

Other diver nominee: California Baptist's Paula De Moya finished first in the 3-meter (257.93) and second in the 1-meter (241.65) contributing to the Lancers' win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripts, Friday.
