UTRGV ON FOUR-GAME CONFERENCE WINNING STREAK
UTRGV carried it's dominate play into the second week of conference play increasing it's conference winning streak to four games. UTRGV topped Utah Tech 3-2, and Southern Utah 3-0 last week. UTRGV is ranked 55th in the first NCAA Volleyball RPI standings.
UT ARLINGTON SWEEPS TARLETON
UT Arlington is now on a three-game conference winning streak after sweeping Tarleton on the road to get its first road sweep as a member of the Western Athletic Conference. The Mavericks are currently on a nine-game winning streak which started on Sept. 9 with a victory over USF.
GCU TOPS CALIFORNIA BAPTIST
Grand Canyon improved to 2-1 in conference play with a three-set sweep against California Baptist. Melanie Brecka completed the game with 16 points to lead the way for GCU. Megan Taflinger recorded her third double-double of the season with her 10 kills, 10 digs performance.
SFA GETS FIVE SET VICTORY OVER ABILENE CHRISTIAN
Stephen F. Austin defeated Abilene Christian in a five-set battle to improve to 3-1 in conference play. Camryn Hill (15 kills, 14 digs) and Ariana Pagan (11 digs, 10 kills) both recorded double-doubles during the match.
SAM HOUSTON IMPROVES CONFERENCE STREAK TO THREE
Sam Houston won its third straight conference match outlasting Utah Valley 3-2. Madison Dyer recorded a season high 10 blocks to go along with her 15 kills to help the Bearkats in their five-set victory. Sam Houston is set to begin a four-game home streak of games beginning with a match against UTRGV.
