UTRGV SITS IN FIRST PLACE
UTRGV beat Utah Valley 3-1 last week to secure sole possession of first place and one match ahead of Utah Valley and two ahead of Stephen F. Austin. The Vaqueros have an opportunity to clinch a share of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championship and the number one seed in the WAC Tournament when they host Abilene Christian on Thursday.

UTAH VALLEY SET TO CLOSEOUT REGULAR SEASON ON THE ROAD
Utah Valley will travel to play California Baptist and Grand Canyon to closeout regular season play. The Wolverines currently have a 16-8 overall record and are 10-2 in conference play, currently ranked second in WAC standings.

UTA SWEPT SFA
UTA swept Stephen F. Austin in three-straight sets last week. Brianna Ford continued her breakout campaign with a team-high 11 kills at a .360 clip along with nine digs, five blocks (two solo), two assists and one ace. Ford hit .417 with six kills in a tight third set to help the Mavs win their fourth over the past five outings.

GCU ON FOUR-GAME WINNING STREAK
Dating back to Oct. 22 Grand Canyon is 12-0 in its past 12 sets getting sweeps over NM State, Sam Houston, Southern Utah and Utah Tech. The Lopes are 8-4 in WAC play and 14-9 overall. With two games remaining in the regular season GCU is led in kills by Melanie Brecka with 250 followed by Tatum Parrott with 236.

ALL ROADS LEAD TO EDINBURG
The 2022 WAC Volleyball Tournament is headed to Edinburg. The top eight teams will head to UTRGV for three days of action. Quarterfinals will take place on Nov. 17 with semifinals the next day and the championship match on Nov. 19.
