TicketSmarter WAC Men’s Basketball Players Of The Week Announced
ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley’s Aziz Bandaogo and Southern Utah’s Parsa Fallah have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Player and Freshman of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Dec. 11.
Bandaogo, a sophomore center in his first season with Utah Valley after transferring from Akron, averaged 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per contest for the Wolverines in a pair of key road victories. Bandaogo hit 76.9 percent of his shots from the floor and 70.0 percent from the free-throw line. Bandaogo tallied 14 points, seven boards and one steal in a 75-60 victory at BYU on Dec. 7 and logged 15 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in an 80-75 overtime triumph at Northern Arizona on Dec. 10.
Fallah, a center, averaged 12.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in a 2-0 Southern Utah week, shooting 85.7 from the field for the Thunderbirds. Fallah erupted for 23 points, 17 rebounds and three steals in just 19 minutes of game time in a nonconference home win against West Coast Baptist on Dec. 6.
