WAC Basketball Title Partner Hercules Tires To Sponsor Free Throw Donation Drive To Support Mental Health
ARLINGTON, Texas – The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) announced on Tuesday that longtime partner Hercules Tires will donate $1 for every free throw made during the 2022-23 men’s and women’s basketball conference regular-season. The funds raised will benefit WAC student-athlete programs and mental health initiatives.
Hercules Tires will present a donation for the final total during the Hercules Tires WAC Basketball Championships March 6-11 in Las Vegas.
"We are grateful to our partners at Hercules for stepping forward to help contribute to this worthy cause,” WAC Commissioner Brian Thornton said. “The health and safety of our student-athletes, both physically and mentally, is of the utmost importance to this conference and its membership. This contribution from Hercules will help enrich the experience of WAC student-athletes both inside and, just as importantly, outside of the athletic arena."
