WAC Announces TicketSmarter Women's Tennis Athletes of the Week
DENVER – UT Rio Grande Valley’s Isabelle Bahr has been named the TicketSmarter singles Player of the Week with the Tarleton duo of Deniza Marcinkevica and Martha Makantasi claiming the doubles Team of the Week honors.
In her lone match of the week, Bahr was victorious against Omaha’s Ines Adsisan 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. The win was Bahr’s third straight as she helped the Vaqueros to a 5-2 team win.
Against Missouri State, Marcinkevica and Makantasi were 6-2 winners at the top doubles spot against the tandem of Mary Houston and Mara Presot. As a team the Texas notched a 4-0 victory for their 10th team win in their last 11 matches.
