DENVER – Grand Canyon's Alexis Linam has been named TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for February 23 through March 1.

Linam, a senior from Phoenix, won the GCU Invitational for the second time in her career. Entering the final round tied for 12th place, she birdied four of the first nine holes to shoot up the leaderboard. Needing par on the final hole to win the tournament, she hit an ideal lag putt and tapped in a two-footer to win the tournament by a stroke with a 3-under-par 213.
