DENVER – Grand Canyon's Kelly Moodry and Abilene Christian's Annina Brandenburg has been named TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for March 23 through 27.

Moodry, a junior from Gillette, Wyo., placed third in the 800-meter run in the first day of the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, Thursday through Saturday. She won the event with a time of 2:05.64, retaining her top spot in the WAC and putting her sixth in the NCAA performance lists according to TFRRS.

Brandenburg, a graduate student from Dusseldorf, Germany, competed on three field events at the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. She placed second in the discus throw with a mark of 57.29m (187' 11"), top mark in the WAC and fourth in the NCAA performance lists according to TFRRS. She placed fifth in the javelin (46.19m/151' 6") and eighth in shot put (16.15m/53' 0"), third and second in the WAC performance list, respectively.

Other track nominees: Abilene Christian's Irene Rono won the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:13.88, top time at the WAC and 18th in the NCAA performance lists, at the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays … Lamar's Yasmin Austridge won the 1,500 meter run (4:26.09) and placed sixth in the 3,000 steeplechase (10:35.12) at the Victor Lopez Classic, Friday through Saturday … NM State's Jhana Downie placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54,77 seconds at the Aztec Invitational, Thursday through Saturday … Tarleton's Hanna Dudley played a role in the Texans 4x100-meter (47.50) and 4x400-meter relays (3:42.27) that placed seventh and fourth, respectively, at the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.

Other field nominees: Grand Canyon's Nebtom N'Da placed second in long jump with a mark of 6.02m (19' 9"), first in the WAC performance list, at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational, Thursday through Saturday … Lamar's Arajanee Jackson placed second in triple jump with a mark of 12.06m (39' 7") at the Victor Lopez Classic … NM State's Phetisang Makhethe won the hammer throw with a mark of 60.22m (197" 7") just under her season best of 61.72m (202' 6") at the Aztec Invitational … Sam Houston's KeAyla Dove placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 16.93m (55' 6.5"), first in the WAC and eighth in the NCAA performance lists, at the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays ... Stephen F. Austin's Seri Geisler placed third in javelin with a mark of 55.28m (181' 4"), first in the WAC and fifth in the NCAA performance lists, at the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.
