NMSU, SHSU and GCU's Patchana Headed to NCAA Regionals

INDIANAPOLIS - After winning WAC titles last week at Riverhill Country Club in Kerrville, Texas, both NM State and Grand Canyon's Siripatsorn Patchana found out on Wednesday afternoon where they will be headed for NCAA Regionals and the Sam Houston Bearkats had their hopes come true, earning at at-large selection to the regional round.

The Aggies will see a familiar foe at a familiar venue, traveling north on I-25 for the Albuquerque Regional where they will be joined by Sam Houston.The top seed at the UNM Championship course will be Oregon and the Ducks, Aggies and Bearkats will be joined by Florida, Texas, Arizona, Georgia, TCU, Louisville, North Texas, Oklahoma and Northern Arizona on May 9-11.

Patchana, who won WAC medalist honors with a 3-under-par 213, will compete as an individual at the Stanford Regional. She will be one of six individuals at the regional in addition to six teams, led by overall top seed and host Stanford.

The top four teams and the top two individuals from non-advancing teams from each regional will move on to the NCAA Championship on May 20-25 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
