Three Earn Academic All-District Honors

DENVER - The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the 2022 Academic All-District teams for baseball and softball and three student-athletes from the WAC were recognized for their success on the field and in the classroom.

On the baseball diamond, Tarlton teammates Kemuel Thomas-Rivera and Taylor Daniell earned honors. Both Thomas-Rivera and Daniell hold perfect 4.00 grade point averages as a graduate kinesiology students while also playing for the Texans.

Seattle U's Carley Nance earned honors as well. The graduate student earned her degree in crime analysis with a 3.73 grade-point average and also holds a 3.57 GPA in her graduate studies.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution. In addition, nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed.

Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District® will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All- America® honorees will be announced later this month.
