NCAA Announces Outdoor T&F Preliminary Qualifiers
INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee has announced the participants for the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships preliminary competitions. With a total of 86 entries, 67 WAC student-athletes are set to compete across 33 events, including three relays, on May 25-28 in the West Prelimenary at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark.
Stephen F. Austin, who won the women's title at the 2022 WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, has eight women's entries and 10 men's entries. Also with 18 entries is Abilene Christian who has 12 women's and six men's entries.
Grand Canyon, who won the men's title at the 2022 WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships has eight women's entries and six men's entries. With them is Sam Houston who has six entries in the women's side and eight in the men's.
Utah Valley will compete in 13 events, with nine entries on the women's side and four on the men's side. NM State will compete in five events while Lamar has two entries on each the women's and men's side with a total of four.
The qualifiers will compete in the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, June 8-11 in Eugene, Ore.
