TicketSmarter WAC Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week Announced
ARLINGTON, Texas – Southern Utah’s Tevian Jones has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Jan. 1.
Jones, a senior guard, turned in an impressive shooting performance for Southern Utah in a 2-0 start to WAC play. Jones averaged 20.5 points per game and shot 71.4 percent from 3-point range for the Thunderbirds. Jones tallied 20 points (5-of-7 3-pointers) and two assists in a 79-75 win at NM State on Dec. 28 and poured in 21 points with 5-of-7 shots made beyond the arc in a 94-88 overtime victory against UTRGV on Dec. 31.
