#UACFOOTBALL - A double overtime thriller between Tarleton and EKU along with another fourth quarter rally for No. 20/25 Central Arkansas highlighted the Week Seven results from around United Athletic Conference (UAC) Football on Saturday.
Austin Peay got the fireworks started early as the Govs raced to their fourth consecutive win with a dominating 41-14 decision over Gardner-Webb, an FCS Playoff team last season. The ranked Bears again had to come-from-behind to earn their fourth straight victory, edging UAC member Stephen F. Austin, 24-21, in a non-conference match-up.
The Colonels and Texans treated fans to a high-octane back-and-forth battle for Homecoming in Richmond (Ky.) with both teams having chances to close the game out in regulation. After Tarleton missed a FG as time expired, the two squads traded touchdowns in the first extra session before FedEx Ground National Defensive Player of the Week and UAC Defensive Player of the Week, Logan Blake intercepted a pass on the Texans second possession setting up EKU for the win.
Abilene Christian earned its first UAC victory in the day's second head-to-head conference contest as the Wildcats forced five turnovers and topped North Alabama, 30-13 in the ACU Homecoming game.
