STEPHEN F. AUSTIN REMAINS UNBEATEN IN CONFERENCE PLAY
Stephen F. Austin is on a six-game winning streak to remain unbeaten through conference play. The ‘Jacks rank first in the WAC in blocks per set (2.83) and digs per set (16.35). Stephen F. Austin also ranks second in the conference in kills per set (12.92) and assists per set (13.38).
WILDCATS ON THE PROWL
Abilene Christian continues to climb the standings with a three-game conference winning streak. ACU now sits at fourth place following
Bryley Steinhilber’s stellar weekend. She recorded two double-doubles, posting 11 kills and 15 digs in a 3-0 sweep over Southern Utah. In a 3-2 win against Utah Tech, she had 19 kills and 11 digs.
MITCHELL BECOMES 8TH ACTIVE SETTER WITH 4,000 CAREER ASSISTS
Grand Canyon’s
Klaire Mitchell notched her seventh double-double of the season with 33 assists and 10 digs against Stephen F. Austin on Oct. 7. Mitchell’s 33 assists marked a career assist total of 4,029. She became only the eighth active Division 1 player to join the 4k club. She leads the WAC in assists per set with 10.08.
JOSEPH JOINS IN ON THE FUN

Tanishua Joseph had a standout weekend, recording 21 kills and hitting .487 in the ‘Jacks wins over California Baptist and Grand Canyon. She set a career-high 13 kills against GCU. Joseph also recorded eight blocks this past weekend, which brings her to 49 total blocks for the season. She averaged 3.00 kills per set and 1.14 blocks per set last weekend.
CRUCIAL MATCHUP
UTRGV and Grand Canyon will battle it out to take sole possession of second place in the WAC standings on Oct. 12. UTRGV is riding a four-match winning and conference sweeps streak. Grand Canyon is coming off an eight-game winning streak, losing to Stephen F. Austin this past weekend. The Lopes are offensively led by
Tatum Parrott who is first in the WAC in kills (4.25), aces (0.52), and points (5.25) per set. UTRGV’s
Luisa Silva Dos Santos is third in the WAC in hitting percentage with .354.
