SOUTHERN UTAH PUNCHES FINAL TOURNAMENT SPOT
Southern Utah earned the final spot in the WAC tournament after Abilene Christian tied with Grand Canyon on Oct. 20. The Thunderbirds will advance to the post season and play in a conference tournament for the first time in 15 years. Southern Utah holds the sixth seed and will face off against No. 3 Seattle U in the first round on Oct. 29.
IT ALL CAME DOWN TO THE LAST GAME
In the very last conference game of the season, Utah Valley secured the WAC regular season title and the top seed in the WAC tournament after a 4-0 shutout of Southern Utah on Oct. 23. The Wolverines compiled a WAC record of 7-0-2 to win their second consecutive outright WAC title. Following a first-round bye in the tournament, Utah Valley will face the winner of No. 4 Grand Canyon and No. 5 Utah Tech on Wednesday, Nov. 1.
PENNER GOES OFF

Caroline Penner earned WAC Player of the Week after recording four goals and nine points in two shutout wins. Penner scored one goal in a 4-0 win over Southern Utah and then topped that with her first career hat trick in a 4-0 win against Utah Tech. She leads the Redhawks in total goals and is tied for fifth in the WAC.
WEBBER SINGLE SEASON GOALS RECORD
Utah Valley’s Faith Webber broke her own UVU program record for goals scored in a single season with 16. Her previous record was 14 total goals during the 2022 season. Webber ranks fourth nationally in total goals and goals per game (0.89). The Wolverines, who received votes in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Top 25 national poll rank seventh in the nation in scoring offense.
