ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s
Chloe Webb and UTRGV’s
Kade Hackerott have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Nov. 19.
Webb, a senior guard, recorded a dominate performance for California Baptist last week, averaging a monster line of 26.5 points, eight rebounds, and three steals per game as the Lancers remain the only undefeated team in the WAC. Webb led wire-to-wire in game one against a 3-0 Long Beach State team, dropping a career-high 29 points. UTEP also came into Riverside at 3-0 and held Webb scoreless in the first half, but she stepped up scoring 23 of her 24 points in the second half and in overtime.
Hackerott, a junior guard/forward, averaged 14.5 points and 9.0 rebounds last week. Hackerott recorded a double-double at Texas State with 17 points and 11 rebounds and then scored 12 points with seven rebounds at Incarnate Word.
