ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Pusanisa Ekkantrong has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Golfer of the Month, for the tournament month of October 2023.
 
Ekkantrong, a freshman, posted a pair of top-five finishes that included a tournament win as part of a 71.7 scoring average during the month of October while representing CBU. Ekkantrong won her first career collegiate event at the Loyola Parkinson Invitational on Oct. 9-10 in Libertyville, Illinois, carding rounds of 81-67-74=222 (+6) to take medalist honors by three strokes while leading the Lancers to a team runner-up finish. CBU closed the fall with a team victory at the Diamante Intercollegiate on Oct. 22-24 in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, as Ekkantrong tied teammate Samantha Dizon for third place individually 8-under-par 208 following rounds of 70-67-71.
