ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Gabe McGlothan and Utah Valley’s Caleb Stone-Carrawell have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Dec. 10.
 
McGlothan, a redshirt senior forward, averaged a double-double of 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game for GCU in a pair of wins against Quad 1 opponents in the latest NCAA NET rankings. McGlothan scored 15 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in a 79-73 win over No. 25 San Diego State on Dec. 5 in Phoenix. McGlothan then hit 9-of-10 shots from the floor on his way to a 21-point, seven-rebound performance in a 69-64 victory at Liberty on Dec. 9.
 
Stone-Carrawell, a graduate transfer forward, scored 19.0 points per contest and shot 87.5 percent from the free-throw line and 45.5 percent from 3-point range last week for 1-1 Utah Valley. Stone-Carrawell tallied 19 points, four rebounds and two assists in a 70-54 win against Weber State on Dec. 5 before adding 19 points and two steals at Oregon State on Dec. 9.
