ONE MORE DAY WORTH OF WAC PLAY
Wednesday is the last day of WAC play until the beginning of 2024. California Baptist (6.0, 1-0 WAC) and Utah Tech (5-2, 1-0 WAC) will battle it out to be undefeated in conference play at 2-0. California Baptist defeated Southern Utah 76-66 on Nov. 28, while Utah Tech downed Utah Valley 73-59 on Dec. 2.

Abilene Christian’s junior guard
Bella Earle recorded her second consecutive triple-double in a win over UT Arlington with 19 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds on Nov. 29. She is the first player to have back-to-back triple-doubles in the WAC and ACU history. She is now one of two players in the nation with two triple-doubles this season.
GRAND CANYON, STEPHEN F. AUSTIN 2-0 IN WAC PLAY
After a full week slate of conference games, Grand Canyon and Stephen F. Austin both posted 2-0 WAC records. Abilene Christian, Southern Utah, Tarleton State and Seattle U are all tied up at 1-1.
FIRST WAC RÉSUMÉ SEEDING SYSTEM IS OUT
In the first women’s rankings of the 2023-24 season that were compiled on Dec. 4, California Baptist claimed the top spot in the WAC Résumé Seeding System with 2.65 points. Grand Canyon was second with 0.89 points, while Stephen F. Austin (0.81 points) and Utah Tech (0.32 points) each posted positive point values.

Payton Hull. The two-time newcomer of the week had another impressive week after recording her second consecutive 30-point game in a win against UT Arlington with 31 points. She then chipped in 25 points in a double-overtime loss at Stephen F. Austin. Hull currently ranks third in the WAC and 49th in the NCAA in points per game with 18.43. She also ranks fifth in the nation in three-pointers per game with 3.71.

Kyla Deck earned WAC Player of the Week this week after leading the ‘Jacks to a perfect 2-0 in the first week of conference play. She scored 48 points over two games, recording her first career double-double in a double-overtime win over Abilene Christian with 24 points and 11 rebounds. She leads the ‘Jacks in steals with 24 and 3.4 steals per game, while being tied 19th in the NCAA with 24 total steals.
