TicketSmarter WAC Golfer Of The Week Announced
ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Lani Luafalealo has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Golfer of the Week, for the competition week ending on Tuesday, Feb. 29.
Luafalealo, a junior, earned team medalist honors for the Lopes during the GCU Invitational that was held at the GCU Championship Golf Course on Feb. 27-28. Luafalealo won a three-way playoff after firing rounds of 68-69-71=208 to finish at 8-under-par. Luafalealo was one of three players in the 95-golfer field to best par in all three rounds on the par-72, 6,171-yard course, and one of just four players to fire multiple rounds in the 60s.
