Fabiani and Zhang to Compete in 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Championships

Arlington, Texas The NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Committee announced the swimmers who qualified for the 2023 NCAA Division I men’s swimming and diving championships. The championships will be held March 22-25 at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center in Minneapolis. The University of Minnesota and Minnesota Sports and Events will serve as hosts. 

Remi Fabiani of California Baptist and Wen Zhang of Air Force will be the representatives of the Western Athletic Conference to compete in the championships. Fabiani qualified in the 50-yard freestyle (qualifying time of 19.09) that will take place on Thursday, March 23 at 10 a.m., then onto the 100-yard freestyle (qualifying time of 42.41) that will be Saturday, March 25 at 10 a.m. Zhang will compete in the 100-yard freestyle (qualifying time of 42.32) on Thursday and then the 200-yard freestyle (qualifying time of 1:31.42) on Friday, March 24 at 10 a.m. 

The championships will air on ESPN+ for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. Tape-delayed coverage of the men’s championships will be on ESPNU at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time, Tuesday, April 4.
