TicketSmarter WAC Golfer Of The Week Announced
ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Constanza Guerrero has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Golfer of the Week, for the competition week ending on Tuesday, April 11.
Guerrero, a junior, captured a second conference weekly golfer of the week award this season after a stellar performance at the Bobcat Spring Invitational on April 9-11 at the Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona. GCU was the only of the 11 teams to best par for the week, shooting a 1-under-par team total of 863 to win by 17 strokes. Guerrero earned individual medalist honors with rounds of 66-71-71 to shoot 8-under-par 208 to take the title by seven shots. Guerrero owned the best scoring average in the field on par 4s (3.83, -5) and rolled in a tournament-high 14 birdies during the event, with her first-round, bogey-free 6-under 66 was the best 18-hole showing of the week.
