TicketSmarter WAC Softball Players Of The Week Announced
ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Tech’s Shea Clements and Seattle U’s Stefanie Madrigal have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Softball Hitter and Pitcher of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, April 30.
Clements, a senior outfielder, batted .714 with a .765 on-base percentage, four doubles, five stolen bases, four RBI and seven runs in a 3-1 road week for Utah Tech. Clements went a perfect 7-for-7 with four steals, three RBI and four runs at Southern Utah on April 29, adding two doubles, an RBI and a pair of runs in the series finale on April 30.
Madrigal, a senior, posted a 1-1 record and 2.33 ERA for Seattle U in three appearances last week. Madrigal allowed an earned run over three innings against Washington on April 26 before going eight full frames against Utah Valley on April 28, scattering three runs with two walks and three strikeouts in a 5-3 win in extra innings. Madrigal needed just six pitches for a scoreless relief inning on April 29 against the Wolverines.
