Tarleton's Johnson & Harris, ACU's Ramsey and Southern Utah's Mitchell Earn UAC Weekly Honors

#UACFOOTBALL -- For the second consecutive week a pair of Tarleton athletes were awarded UAC Football Player of the Week honors as Keylan Johnson (Offensive) and D.J. Harris (Defensive) were joined by Abilene Christian's Kyle Ramsey (Special Teams) and Zach Mitchell (Freshman) of Southern Utah in earning accolades as announced by the league office.

Johnson, a sophomore wide receiver, scored four touchdowns on Saturday, finishing with 219 receiving yards on six receptions for the Texans at home against North Alabama helping the squad earn the win in the first UAC contest in league history. His four receiving scores tied the TSU program record and marked the most this season in FCS play. Johnson is the first player in college football this season with over 200 yards and 4+ TDs in a game.

A senior linebacker, Harris had a team-high 12 stops including a sack, 1.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a quarterback hurry in Tarleton State’s 52-31 win over UNA. It marked the 11th career double-digit tackle performance of his career.

A sophomore kicker for the Wildcats, Ramsey was a perfect 7-for-7 on kicks in the ACU victory over Alcorn State converting all six of his extra point attempts. He also drilled a 55-yard field goal, marking the fourth-longest in program history and notched touchbacks on all seven kickoffs.

Mitchell, a redshirt freshman wide receiver from Boston, led the Thunderbirds with seven receptions against BYU. He tallied 135 total yards in the game including 43 yards after the catch.
