ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Marcella Brooks, Grand Canyon’s Sidney Roberts and DeAira Jackson have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Soccer Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Sept. 4.
 
Brooks, a redshirt senior forward, led the Lancers offense with a hat trick in California Baptist’s first shutout of the season against UTEP in a 6-0 win. Brooks picked up six points, had four shots and four shots on goal.

Roberts, a redshirt junior, anchored a Grand Canyon defensive back line that did not allow a goal last week. Roberts logged 180 minutes in a pair of shutout wins over UTSA and Oregon. The Lopes have not allowed a goal in the last 353 minutes and GCU has had four straight home shutouts.
 
Jackson earned goalkeeper of the week for the second consecutive week after adding two more shutouts to her season total with wins over UTSA and Oregon. Jackson faced 18 total shots and made six saves, increasing her season save percentage to .880. She now ranks second in the country with four shutouts this season.
