2023-24 WAC Womne's Basketball Release - Week Ten
CBU, GCU PERFECT 4-0 WAC PLAY RECORDS
California Baptist and Grand Canyon remain the only unbeaten teams after WAC play resumed last week. CBU won a pair of home games as Utah Valley and Seattle U traveled to Riverside. GCU also thrived at home, winning contests over Southern Utah at Utah Tech. Stephen F. Austin ended the week with a WAC record of 3-1.

Chloe Webb earned her third WAC Player of the Week honor as she continues to put up huge numbers for the Lancers. Webb leads the WAC in points per game with 20.0, she ranks 23rd in the nation and is tied 17th in steals per game (3.00). In an unbeaten week of conference play, Webb averaged 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.0 steals per game, including a massive stat line against Seattle U recording 26 points with six rebounds, assists and steals.

UT Arlington’s
Avery Brittingham was selected as one of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association National Players of the Week for games ending the week of Jan. 7. Brittingham became the third WAC player to earn this honor, joining
Tyonna Outland (CSU Bakersfield, 2014) and
Keila Shelton (Louisiana Tech, 2013). Brittingham, a senior forward, recorded her second career triple-double posting 11 points, matching a career-best 11 assists and added 10 rebounds in a win against Stephen F. Austin. She is the fifth player in WAC history to have multiple triple-doubles. She also marked the second triple-double in UT Arlington history, the Mavs first since 2002. Brittingham also recorded 13 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win over Tarleton State.

Khloe Lemon had an impressive week posting back-to-back career scoring efforts against Utah Valley (19 points) and Seattle U (20), earning WAC Newcomer of the Week for the second time this season. She went 13-18 (72.2%) from the field, 3-7 (42.9%) from the perimeter, and 10-13 (76.9%) from the free throw line.
DOUBLE TEAMED
Grand Canyon’s twin sisters
Sydney and Laura Erikstrup went off for the Lopes last week to extend their WAC record to 4-0. Sydney Erikstrup averaged 13.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg and shot 85 percent from beyond the arc. Sydney made six of her seven 3-point attempts and totaled 27 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals in wins over Southern Utah and Utah Tech. Laura Erikstrup averaged 15.0 ppg, shooting 63 percent from the field and added 4.0 rpg. Laura recorded 24 points and six rebounds against Southern Utah.

Bella Earle is one of only three players nationally to record two triple-doubles during the 23-24 campaign and became the first WAC player to record back-to-back triple doubles. Utah Tech’s
Breaunna Gillen recorded a triple-double on Dec. 19 against Oregon (17 pts, 10 rebs, 10 asts), while
Avery Brittingham posted 11 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds against Stephen F. Austin on Jan. 6.
