ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Tyon Grant-Foster has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Jan. 14.
 
Grant-Foster, a senior transfer guard, kept his stellar campaign rolling with a 20.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game average for GCU in a pair of home conference victories. Grant-Foster poured in a game-high 24 points, including 19 in the second half alone, to go along with four rebounds and three blocked shots in a 74-64 win over Abilene Christian on Jan. 11. Grant-Foster filled up the stat sheet to close the weekend in a 74-48 victory against Tarleton State on Jan. 13, tallying 16 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots for the Lopes.
