ARLINGTON, Texas – Abilene Christian’s Merse Deli and Seattle U’s Michael Frank and Julian Worn have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Tennis Players for the Week ending on Monday, Jan. 15.
 
Deli (Fr.) is awarded the Men’s Singles Player of the Week after going 1-1 against a couple of ranked teams and opponents this past week. Deli made his spring singles debut against #25 Baylor and took down Louis Bowden in a three-set comeback win which ended in a marathon tiebreaker: 1-6, 6-4, 1-0 (13-11). The Wildcats then battled with #3 Texas, as Deli won three games in a loss to #101 Siem Woldeab: 6-2, 6-1.
 
Frank (Jr.) and Worn (Sr.) are awarded the Men’s Doubles Players of the Week for going 2-0 as a pair and collecting wins against UC Riverside and Montana State. Their first win came in nail-biting fashion against Aarav Sane/Lucas Mszyca of UC Riverside with a score of 7-6. They followed with another solid 6-2 victory against Montana State’s Adrian Daniel/Jacob Huppin.
