Southern Utah got the day started by doubling up EKU in a battle of contenders, with the win marking the 100th of T-Bird head coach DeLane Fitzgerald's coaching career. No. 12 Central Arkansas fought off a late surge from West Georgia to claim a one-point decision and rebound from a disappointing loss last week. No. 11 Tarleton State made the most of its Homecoming game by posting a shutout of visiting Utah Tech while North Alabama notched a historic win by topping No. 10 Abilene Christian, the program's first win over a ranked FCS opponent.
