ARLINGTON, Texas – Idaho’s Ginger Kiefer and UTRGV’s Manou Meulebeek have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the week, for the competition week ending on Monday, Oct. 14.
 
Kiefer, a sophomore, collected three first-place finishes to help lead the Vandals to a 167.5-132.5 win over Northern Colorado. Keifer won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:04.35, the best time in the WAC by three seconds. Kiefer was also victorious in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:26.73) and 200-yard backstroke (2:01.64), both ranking second best in the conference.
 
Meulebeek, a freshman, qualified for the NCAA Zone “D” Diving competition in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives while earning the first diving wins for UTRGV’s program. In the Vaqueros’ meet with Incarnate Word, Meulebeek won the 1-meter with a score of 299.33 and the 3-meter with a score of 286.43.
