In a limited set of competitions on Saturday, West Georgia got things started on a high note as the Wolves dominated former rival Shorter in a homecoming victory that halted a five-game skid. The UAC Game of the Week again provided fans with a thrilling one-score decision that went down-to-the-wire as Austin Peay outlasted Utah Tech in the Blazers homecoming contest. No. 17 Abilene Christian rounded out the group of winners after bouncing back with a solid performance against EKU.
