ARLINGTON, Texas – San Diego State’s Robbie Matei, Utah Valley’s Keith Willey and UNLV’s Hugo Lemos have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Soccer Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Oct. 21.
 
Matei, a senior forward, scored two match-winning goals for San Diego State in a 2-0 homestand. Matei broke a 1-1 tie with a goal at 57:02 in a 2-1 victory over Seattle U on Oct. 17. With the score tied 0-0 in the 74th minute, Matei connected on the match-winner at 73:43 to lift San Diego State to a 1-0 clean sheet win against San Jose State.
 
Willey, a junior defender, played the full 90 minutes on the Utah Valley backline in a 2-0 shutout at Air Force on Oct. 20. The Wolverines did not allow a single shot on goal during the match and held the Falcons to just six total shot attempts during the contest.
 
Lemos, a sophomore goalkeeper, ran his active shutout streak to three straight matches during a 1-0-1 conference homestand. Lemos was credited with four saves in a 2-0 clean sheet against UTRGV on Oct. 17. Lemos turned in three saves for the Rebels during a scoreless draw against Grand Canyon on Oct. 20 to earn his fifth straight decision for UNLV.
