ARLINGTON, Texas – Tarleton State’s Adeliya Mukhutdinova and Grand Canyon’s doubles team of Dania Deaifi and Gala Arangio have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Tennis Players of the Month for September.
 
Mukhutdinova compiled an 8-1 singles record during September, with her only loss occurring on Sept. 7 at the Texas State Invite. She completed the month by going 3-0 in singles at both the Mountaineer Hidden Duals and the Wildcat Invite. Mukhutdinova did not drop a set at the Wildcat Invite and won 75 percent of her games throughout the event.
 
Deaifi and Arangio of Grand Canyon went 2-1 in doubles at the Lumberjack Classic. The duo earned a quarterfinal win over Northern Arizona and, after a semifinal loss, secured third place with a victory in the final match of the weekend.
