ARLINGTON, Texas – Wyoming’s
Andrew Ravegum and California Baptist’s
Mario Del Valle has been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Swimmer and Diver of the week, for the competition week ending on Monday, Oct. 28.
Ravegum, a sophomore, took first place in three events at Colorado Mesa. Ravegum won the 100 breaststroke (56.20), 200 breaststroke (2:04.17), and the 200 IM (1:51.36). Within the conference, he is currently ranked 6
th in the 100 breaststroke, 11
th in the 200 breaststroke, and 3
rd in the 200 IM.
Del Valle, a sophomore, went back-to-back in the diving weekly honor after winning three of the four diving events he competed in. Del Valle set a program and pool record at Pomona-Pitzer in the 1-meter dive with a score of 427.43. Del Valle also took second place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 371.78. Del Valle claimed the top scores at Cal Tech/San Diego in the 1-meter (383.05) and the 3-meter (340.15).
