ARLINGTON, Texas – New Mexico’s Dijana Mazumdar and Northern Arizona’s Maggie Wesche have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the week, for the competition week ending on Monday, Nov. 11.
 
Mazumdar, a freshman, helped New Mexico State to a pair of dual wins against UTRGV and NAU as she collected three individual freestyle wins and was part of three winning relay teams. Mazumdar finished first in the 200 freestyle (1:50.64), 100 freestyle (50.93), and 50 freestyle (23.50). Her times in the 200 and 100 freestyle top this season’s WAC charts. Mazumdar also took part in NMSU’s winning 400 medley relay (3:56.28), 400 free relay (3:23.81), and swam the third leg (100 free) in the 500 free relay. The Aggies’ 400 free relay is the fastest in the WAC this year.
 
Wesche, a junior, played a key role in the Lumberjacks winning both diving events in the dual meets with NMSU and UTRGV. Wesche recorded scores of 271.40 in the 1-meter dive and 283.75 in the 3-meter dive.
