ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington’s Jaden Wells has been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Nov. 17.

Wells, a senior transfer guard, averaged 21.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals while shooting 53.6 percent from the floor for UTA in a 1-1 week. Wells hit 7-of-10 attempts from 3-point range and added five rebounds, five assists and four steals on the way to a game-high 27 points in a narrow 98-95 defeat at Southern California on Nov. 13. Wells contributed 16 points and chipped in four boards, four assists and a blocked shot in a 95-69 win over Texas College on Nov. 15.
