ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Remi Fabiani and Gael Jimenez have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Swimmer and Diver of the week, for the competition week ending on Monday, Nov. 25.
 
Fabiani, a senior, won all three individual events he raced in with all three times making the NCAA B Cut qualifying marks. Fabiani’s 50 freestyle time of 19.44 is a CBU program record and the best in the conference. He clocked in another WAC-best time in the 100 freestyle at 42.57 along with a second-best conference time in the 100 backstroke with 46.34. Fabiani collected two more wins as part of the 400 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay, bringing his weekend total to five wins and one runner-up finish (800 freestyle relay).
 
Jimenez, a junior, claimed second place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard dives at the USC Trojan Diving Invite, finishing behind the 2024 Olympian Moritz Wesemann in those events. Jimenez scored 817.00 in the 3-meter dive and was the highest scoring diver in qualifying to notch a score surpassing 400 points (434.15), which set a program record on that board. Jimenez also posted a score of 728.15 in the 1-meter dive.
