ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Maria Brunlehner and California Baptist’s Audrey Thordarson-Wehner have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the week, for the competition week ending on Monday, Nov. 25.
 
Brunlehner, a senior, collected two individual second-place finishes at the Purdue Invitational. Brunlehner clocked in a conference-best time of 1:59.26 in the 200 individual medley and notched the NCAA B Cut mark, along with a WAC second-best time of 49.54 in the 100 freestyle. Additionally, Brunlehner swam a 1:02.05 in the 100 breaststroke, grabbing the top time in the conference. Brunlehner was also part of GCU’s 400 medley relay team that finished in 3:40.59, which is best in the conference by nearly three whole seconds.
 
Thordarson-Wehner, a sophomore, was CBU’s top finisher in all three events at the USC Trojan Invite last weekend. Thordarson-Wehner completed her trifecta of qualifying marks for Zone E’s for NCAA postseason with a third-place score of 233.30 in the platform dive, 516.45 score in the 3-meter dive, and 432.55 score in the 1-meter dive.
