WAC TOURNAMENT HEADS TO PHOENIX IN 2024!
The six-team field for the 2024 WAC Men’s Soccer Tournament in Phoenix is officially set. No. 1 seed San Diego State, No. 2 seed Seattle U, No. 3 seed and two-time defending champion California Baptist, No. 4 seed Utah Valley, No. 5 seed San José State and No. 6 seed Utah Tech will compete for the conference championship from Nov. 10-16 at GCU Stadium on the Grand Canyon campus.

TOP SEEDED SDSU LOOKS FOR ITS FIRST CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT TITLE
A 2-0 win over Air Force on the final day of the regular season Nov. 3 secured the number one seed and first regular season conference title for San Diego State during its re-debut season in the WAC. Back in the league for the first time since 1998, the Aztecs compiled an unblemished 7-0-1 conference record to narrowly outpoint Seattle U for the top spot. San Diego State will attempt to become the eighth different program to win the WAC Men’s Soccer Tournament.

CBU SEARCHING FOR THE FIRST WAC 3-PEAT
California Baptist defended its home field as the host of the 2022 WAC Men’s Soccer Tournament, earning its first conference soccer title as a Division I member in the process, before becoming the first WAC men’s soccer program to repeat as the tournament champion in 2023 in Las Vegas. The No. 3 seeded Lancers will attempt to extend that streak to three straight tournament titles over the next week in Phoenix, entering with a cumulative tournament record of 4-0-1 in their first two WAC Men’s Soccer Tournament appearances.

SEATTLE U, SAN JOSE STATE TIED FOR MOST WAC TOURNAMENT APPEARANCES
Both Seattle U and San José State are making a 12th all-time appearance in the WAC Men’s Soccer Tournament, tied for the most trips to the soccer championship in conference history. Seattle U has compiled a 9-5-6 (.600) all-time record to go along with five tournament titles as a WAC member, while San José State has fashioned a 6-9-4 (.421) tournament mark and has finished as the conference runner-up on four occasions.

SDSU STILL SETTING THE PACE AS THE TOP RANKED WAC TEAM IN LATEST NCAA RPI
As of the latest NCAA RPI update on Nov. 7, San Diego State remained the top team from the WAC with an adjusted RPI ranking of 43. The other top 100 WAC team in the most recent NCAA RPI was Seattle U at 56.
