ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Dominique Daniels Jr. and UT Arlington’s Lance Ware have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Dec. 15.

Daniels, a senior guard, was the game’s leading scorer in a competitive 81-75 CBU defeat at No. 23 San Diego State on Dec. 11, pouring in 22 points to go along with six assists and three rebounds. Daniels scored 10 points and logged all of his assists and rebounds in the second half alone.

Ware, a graduate transfer forward, averaged 14.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and a conference-high 3.5 blocks per game while shooting 70.6 percent during a 1-1 week for UTA. Ware scored 11 points, pulled down seven boards and added four blocks in a loss at Arkansas State on Dec. 12 before scoring 17 points to go along with six rebounds, three blocks and two steals in a win over ULM on Dec. 14.
