ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Chloe Webb and UT Arlington’s Gia Adams has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Feb. 11.

Webb, a senior guard, averaged 27.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals, and 3.0 assists per game last week. Webb posted her WAC leading third 30-plus point game on Feb. 8, scoring 32 at UT Arlington and knocked down a game-winning floater with under two seconds left to seal the midweek road victory for California Baptist. She followed that up with 27 points at home against Utah Tech.

Adams, a junior guard, averaged 21.0 points on 7-of-12 shooting from beyond the 3-point line with 3.5 assists last week. She recorded 24 points, two rebounds, five assists and two steals against California Baptist. Against Stephen F. Austin on Feb. 10, she had 18 points, two rebounds and two assists.
