ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Kristin Fifield and Southern Utah’s Emily Delgado has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Feb. 11.
 
Fifield, a graduate student utility player, finished the weekend with a .429 average, six hits, four runs, one HR, eight RBIs, .643 slugging percentage and a .969 fielding percentage. Against Maine on Feb. 9, Fifield hit a three-run home run to left-center field for her 45th career round-tripper.
 
Delgado, a freshman, pitched 13.2 innings this weekend, posting a 0.00 ERA and striking out 12 while only allowing four hits. Delgado earned a win with a complete game shutout of UIC on Sunday morning with six punchouts and earned a save in game one.
