ARLINGTON, Texas – Southern Utah’s Dylan Gibson and Grand Canyon’s Jack Hodge have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, for the meet week ending on Sunday, Feb. 11.
 
Gibson (Sr.) posted two top-two finishes in the Don Kirby Elite Invitational, both of which ranking top-two in the conference, and one reaching top-25 in the country. Gibson won the 400-meter dash with a time of 46.21, putting him atop of the WAC and 21^st nationally. Gibson placed second in the meet’s 200-meter dash after clocking in at 20.99, ranking second best in the conference. Gibson also took part in Southern Utah’s 4x400 relay, where he helped the team finish on the podium at third place.
 
Hodge (Gr.) recorded a WAC-best 5.27 meters (17-3.50) in the pole vault during the Don Kirby Elite Invitational. Hodge put himself just inside the top-40 nationally as he now sits 40^th in the country.
